Are you a procrastinator?
Are you an undisciplined eater?
Are you a creative genius?
Whatever you focus on being – you become. This is the 4th Law of Focus. This law is the direct result of the first 3 laws I’ve recently highlighted:
1. What You Focus on You Find
2. What You Focus on Grows
3. What You Focus on Seems Real
What it boils down to is that your reality becomes everything you think and believe. And that’s a great thing when it’s aligned with who you really want to be, or how you really want to show up in the world. But if it’s manifesting into something that is 360 degrees away from your truth, then it’s time to take a moment to ask yourself:
Who do I want to Be?
I remember when I first heard that, I thought to myself, “what are they talking about? ….I’m Patty Angelopoulos Cimino…”
No – not who am I, more importantly who do I want to be?
Do I want to be the screaming general that barks orders at my kids telling them what to do OR do I want to be a mom who loves her kids unconditionally whether they clean up their dirty socks (scattered e v e r y w h e r e ) or not…
Do I want to be the entrepreneur that’s running around like a chicken with her head cut off, frantic, worried I’ll never make an impact OR do I want to be the confident business woman my father taught me to be?
Do I want to be the social butterfly flittering around from friend to friend OR the authentic gal pal that builds relationships based on trust, like-minded values and realness?
SO – Who do You want to Be?
Decide. Then FOCUS on stepping into being that person by creating the thoughts that make you feel like that person. Stay centered and in alignment with that feeling and let the energy of it drive you to take action to be that person.
It’s that simple, cut the drama of the stories you’ve been carrying around with you that don’t make you feel your best. Look for the things you want to see in your life, find the good over the bad, the happy over the sad, the success over the failure. Notice how goodness multiplies and surrounds you.
Here’s to letting the laws of focus lead you to becoming who you want to be…
