HOLY MACARONI

One Bad Moment…

  • March 22, 2017

As you all know my year started off with a lot of challenges.  Being sick for 2 months and taking care of my aging father in law at the same time left me playing catch up on a lot of things.  One of them being the dreaded taxes . . .

I HATE DOING TAXES.

Stressful and time consuming, I usually start prepping for them after the new year, doing a little bit each day so it’s not so consuming on my time and nerves.

This year I wasn’t able to tackle it till the week of our appointment.  If you’re friends with me on FB, you might’ve caught me stressing as I was in the thick of it..

I ended up pulling an almost all nighter, crashing after 3:00 am.

HOLY MACARONI!

I didn’t realize how much my body values sleep!  The next day, the crabbiest, short tempered, negative, devil woman in me appeared and reared her ugly head.

SO NOT PROUD OF THIS BEHAVIOR.

Teaching me how valuable sleep is to my physical being.  But also teaching me that one bad moment doesn’t define who we are at our core.  And wasting time ruminating in how I overreacted to people and situations the following day doesn’t change how I behaved – but it also doesn’t characterize who I am.

Have you ever had a bad moment?  Have you said something that wasn’t showing the best version of yourself?  Did you sit and rehash the scene in your mind for days or weeks?  Maybe it was lack of sleep for you too or overloaded stress from managing your home, raising your kids and juggling work.

Whatever the reason, I’d like to remind you as well that…

ONE BAD MOMENT DOES NOT DEFINE YOU.

AND

The sooner you can compassionately cut yourself some slack, the sooner you can get back to being the incredible person you are.  Hey, we are not born perfect!  We learn about ourselves as we move through life.

NO.MATTER.WHAT.AGE.WE.ARE.

We ALL have bad moments. So when you see someone else struggling through a situation, cut them some slack.  Offer compassion and understanding.  It’ll help them get back on track too.

LIFE CONTINUES TO GIVE US LESSONS FOR GROWTH.

Learn and grow.

STOP rehashing your mistakes.

Learn and Grow . . .with positivity and possibility.

I’m a certified life and mindset coach, speaker and entrepreneur. I help people going through transitions kick the “I can’t” and the “I don’t know” to the curb and learn to embrace a healthy positive mindset so they can step into the next chapter with confidence, purpose and optimism. When I’m not coaching, you can find me on the mat teaching and taking hot yoga. I credit my 3 boys for all my coaching practice and my hubby Bill for always being my #1 client.
