This has been an unbelievably exciting week watching my alma mater Loyola University – make it to the Final 4 for March Madness. This Cinderella story of a small Division 1 midwest team that no one expected to get this far.
No one except . . .
The players who continuously believed they could win.
A coach who’s mantra has been instilled in them – “There is no finish line”.
As a matter of fact RESILIENCY has been the repeated word this coach uses to describe these athletes.
What would you need to believe about yourself if you thought there was no finish line for something your shooting for?
How would you show up?
What would you do when adversity, challenges and obstacles got in your way?
Here’s something I recently learned and have been employing as I grow myself and my coaching business –
I’ve created an EVEN WHEN commitment statement first by listing all of the things that could get in the way of building the business of my dreams.
Then create a commitment statement that states even when those things on my list happen – I will work through them and persevere.
I’ve used this to hold myself accountable…and it’s working :)))
This week I challenge you to create an Even When commitment statement and see how it helps you build your resilience muscle.
And just like those Ramblers, believe in YOU – like there is no finish line!
Go Loyola!
Have an amazing week,
Patricia
