Mental Fitness

Do you go to the gym once and expect a toned buffed body?

I highly doubt it.

You know that committing to going all the time is what will get you that result.

Mental fitness is no different than any other practice you do to better yourself.

Deciding how you want to feel, generating the thoughts that make you feel that way and practicing using those new intentional thoughts is how we shape our brain.

So when you're feeling overwhelmed, stressed and anxious, stop and notice what you're believing in that moment. Understand it's never the circumstance (circumstance being something or someone) that's making you feel the way you - it's ALWAYS your thoughts about the thing or person that's driving you to feel the way you do.

It's a practice - this mental fitness stuff, just like yoga.

You don't end up in crow pose or handstand on the first try.

You practice it over and over.

Practicing new thoughts is the same - you don't just create a new thought and then never think it again. You create an inspiring new thought and you practice thinking it over and over.

Changing your thoughts, changes your results that change your life.

Thought management.

It's my main practice for 2019.
