This card was just what I needed to find last week after I bottomed out on a personal goal I had been working on.
After feeling a range of emotions from embarrassment to disappointment - I decided to NOT throw the towel in on myself.
I turned off the negative chatter and tuned inward to listen to my heart, focused on my breath and got back up again.
Sometimes life throws us off course and things don't go as planned. The biggest disappointments then become our biggest lessons. I'm choosing to walk away with analyzing what went well, what didn't go well and how I'll do it differently next time.
How perfect was it that I came across this TED clip Sunday night!
Psychologist Angela Lee Duckworth, talks about having GRIT and how we can help our kids become grittier. I wanted to share this with you because I think learning to build GRIT can apply to everyone. And having a GROWTH mindset is key to building GRIT.
"A growth mind set is all about learning and embracing challenges,
persisting in the face of setbacks and finding the lessons
and inspiration from the success of others"
I hope this inspires you to get back up again and again and again.
